ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND GROUP (RBS.L)
RBS Securities said it added three people to its mortgage and asset-backed securities sales and trading teams. Sean Whelan, previously at Deutsche Bank, and Colin McGahren, previously at Nomura, join the MBS and ABS sales team, while Brian Song, previously at Credit Suisse, joins as head of agency pass-through trading. All three are based in Stamford, Connecticut.
BROWNSTONE INVESTMENT GROUP
The fixed-income investment firm said it hired Sean Richter as a director in its investment grade department. Richter joins from Stifel Nicolaus, where he was most recently co-head of the investment grade corporate desk.
KLEINWORT BENSON
Investment firm Kleinwort Benson said it hired Mark Bright as a managing director and head of banking for the Kleinwort Benson Group. Bright, who previously worked at MeesPierson Channel Islands Limited, will be based in Guernsey.
CITIGROUP (C.N)
Citigroup said it named Wes Walraven and Wayne Beckmann co-heads of its global industrials group. Walraven was previously a senior member of the M&A group and head of the Los Angeles regional office. He will move to New York. Beckmann will also retain his role as head of Citi's automotive franchise, according to the bank.
Separately, Citi Private Bank said Adam Smith was joining as a senior vice president and ultra high net-worth private banker, based in Beverly Hills. Smith was previously at City National Bank in Los Angeles.
GROSVENOR
The property group said it named Lesley Knox to replace David Home as non-executive chairman. Knox, chairman of Alliance Trust and senior non-executive director of Hays, has been a trustee of the Grosvenor Estate since 2005. The Earl of Home will retire from the board at the end of the year.
ROGERSCASEY
Investment firm Rogerscasey said it hired Robert Zeidman, a former managing director at Wilshire Associates, as a business development director.
INVESTMENT TECHNOLOGY GROUP (ITG.N)
The agency broker and financial technology firm named Jamie Selway as a managing director at its New York office. Prior to joining ITG, Selway was managing director at White Cap Trading, an institutional agency brokerage that he co-founded in 2003. He has earlier worked with Archipelago and Goldman Sachs.
ITG also appointed Selway's three partners at White Cap Trading -- William D'Arbanville, Jamie Petraglia and Tim Love. D'Arbanville and Petraglia will join ITG's New York trading desk, while Love will join the Boston trading desk.
CAPCO
The business and technology consultancy for financial services appointed Ismail Amla to head Capco's UK operations. Amla joins Capco from Accenture, where he recently held the post of managing director of outsourcing for Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.
HEIGHTS FINANCE
The company appointed Robert Ferlmann as its chief financial officer. Most recently, Bob served as CFO and executive vice president for Bluestar Energy Services Inc in Peoria, Illinois.
SCOTTISH WIDOWS INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP (SWIP)
The partnership, a unit of Lloyds Banking Group (LLOY.L), named Jeremy Charles as investment director, effective July 20. Charles, who will be based in SWIP's Edinburgh office, joins from Aviva UK Life, where he worked as a senior portfolio manager.
DAIWA CAPITAL MARKETS
The investment banking arm of Daiwa Securities Group (8601.T) appointed Chang-Lok Kim, former governor of Korea Development Bank, as senior adviser, effective Monday.
XENFIN CAPITAL
The systematic trading firm appointed Luca Rubinelli to head its new fixed income trading arm and manage a global macro strategy. Rubinelli comes from a family office, where he was a multi-asset portfolio manager. He has earlier worked with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Paribas Ltd and JP Morgan in London.
BNY MELLON ASSET SERVICING
The asset management firm appointed Peter Craft as head of its pan-European trustee and depositary business. Craft, who is to join the company later this year, was formerly head of trustee & depositary services at The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS.L).
